Over the weekend of the Canadian Grand Prix, Formula 1 team bosses will meet to voice concerns that have arisen over the new rules for the 2026 season. This has been reported by Motorsport.com. On Thursday afternoon, the FIA released the regulations for 2026. Team delegates will reportedly meet in the paddock as early as Saturday.

Dissatisfaction with the new 2026 regulations?

The concerns that team bosses have seem to be mainly aerodynamic. Some teams suggest that the new cars can be relatively slow due to the loss of downforce and they often run out of battery power. On Saturday, during the weekend of the Canadian Grand Prix, the meeting will be held with the team bosses, who can then voice their concerns about the rules.

Stefano Domenicali and Mohammed Ben Sulayem expressed excitement in the press release about the new rules for the 2026 season, but there seems to be initial discontent among the team bosses already.
