As many as eight drivers have seen their team replace the entire engine ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. This includes Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton. They will drive around North America over the weekend with a new engine in their cars.
Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly, Alexander Albon, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda have also all had their engines replaced for the third time this year. This means that all cars have had the combustion engine, turbo charger, MGU-H and MGU-K replaced.
Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have a new Energy Store, as do Oscar Piastri and Valtteri Bottas. This battery generates energy for the Formula 1 engine. So the four drivers have had it replaced. The aforementioned drivers, Hamilton and Ocon, also have a new gearbox for the Canadian Grand Prix.
