- Sandy van Wijngaarden
Although Red Bull Racing initially seemed to have a difficult weekend, Max Verstappen was able to qualify his car in second place. Prior to the Grand Prix in Canada, the Dutchman voiced his latest expectations during the drivers parade.
It is a rainy weekend in Montreal and rain is also scheduled for the Grand Prix. After a difficult Friday, Verstappen did manage to drive a good qualifying session. He will start the race from second place.
Verstappen hopes for exciting race
The three-time world champion does smell opportunities from this second spot. ''It's been a bit of a tricky weekend to start with but we are still on the front row so anything is possible. There's some rain incoming soon so I think it will be quite an interesting race.''
Verstappen himself does not quite know what to expect from the Grand Prix. ''Anything can happen. We have to wait and see how much rain we'll get and just play it by ear. I’m not too stressed about it. I just hope that we have a very exciting race."
