Verstappen cools down after being angry with Red Bull at Austria

In the end, the clash between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris became the big talking point of the Austrian Grand Prix. If not for a failed pit stop by Red Bull Racing at its own Red Bull Ring, Verstappen could probably have maintained his lead over the McLaren and therefore took what would have been a comfortable victory. After the race, the Dutchman was therefore quite irritated with his team. After a few nights' sleep, Verstappen is a lot less critical.
According to the three-time world champion, there has been a good reaction to the disappointing Grand Prix in Austria in recent days. "It mainly fell out of our control because of the bad pit stop, but honestly you win and lose as a team," Verstappen told reporters on Thursday, including GPblog. "We had so many good pit stops and unfortunately now, at an important moment, a very bad one. But thanks to the pit stops we actually picked up victories in the past. It can go either way. We will analyse this and make sure it doesn't happen again."
Verstappen awaits strong McLaren
New round, new chances. In Britain, Verstappen will get another chance to win. It's not going to be easy, he mused. "I expect it to be very close. We had a good qualifying in Austria and overall a positive weekend - apart from the result then. But I think McLaren - like last year - is flying. So they are going to be fast again."
Verstappen does have one advantage: he confirmed during media day that his team will introduce updates for the RB20 at Silverstone, whilst Norris will be running a repaired floor as a result of the clash in Austria.
