Which drivers have won a Formula One Grand Prix in 2024?

Red Bull: Max Verstappen - 7 victories

While Red Bull are not as dominant as in 2023, thanks to his ability, Max Verstappen is still able to pick race victories confidently. There were some tough ones including the one at Emilia-Romagna, but Verstappen already entered his name on this list back at the Bahrain Grand Prix, at has seven victories to his name. Sergio Perez, however, stands at zero so far.

Ferrari: Carlos Sainz - 1 victory / Charles Leclerc - 1 victory

After Max Verstappen had to retire his car with an engine issue in Melbourne, it was Carlos Sainz who capitalised in Australia. It was the Spaniard who could break Verstappen's streak of repeat victories once again, as he did the same a year earlier in Singapore. Left without a seat at the Italian team, Sainz lead Ferrari to a one-two finish.

Having constant bad luck at his home Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc did not make a single mistake and won the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. After claiming pole position on the Saturday, the Monegasque driver could keep Oscar Piastri behind in the Principality.

Mercedes: George Russell - 1 victory / Lewis Hamilton - 2 victories

After not winning a single Grand Prix in 2023, Mercedes managed to win back-to-back Grands Prix in Austria and at Silverstone. First, George Russell was running in P3 when Lando Norris and Verstappen made contact in Turn 3, leading to both drivers getting a puncture. Russell took advantage of opportunity, and won the race ahead of Piastri. A week later, Lewis Hamilton also won for the first time since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. In changeable conditions, Hamilton could get ahead of Norris when switching at the right time for slicks, and brought home his Mercedes just ahead of Verstappen in his home GP.

Mercedes then went onto win a third race at the Belgian GP ahead of the summer break. While Russell crossed the line in first place, his car was under the minimum weight limit, leading to a disqualification. The victory then went to Lewis Hamilton.

McLaren: Lando Norris - 1 victory / Oscar Piastri - 1 vicctory

The British team have won a single race in 2024, at the Miami Grand Prix. Lando Norris earned his only and to this day only win in Miami, after he returned to P1 following a Safety Car phase. Since then, Norris came close to winning at Emilia-Romagna or in Spielberg, and Piastri was doing well in Monaco. The Australian earned his first victory in the sport at the Hungarian GP, with a controversial decision by McLaren. After the British team undercut Piastri with Norris, the Briton had to give back the position to his teammate, who thus become a Formula One Grand Prix winner.
