Hulkenberg triggers red flag at Zandvoort after crash in FP2
- Estéban den Toom
A red flag was waved during the second free practice session at Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix. Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg, with 42 minutes left on the clock, put his car into the wall, causing a red flag on the Dutch coast. The rear of the car stepped out completely, causing the German to lose control of the wheel. Hulkenberg already struggled in FP1, as he visited the gravel trap twice when the track was wet.
"The rear just locked completely," Hulkenberg said over the radio. The Haas driver shot off the track and slammed into the wall. The German was completely okay and was able to walk back to the pit box.
