Haas can't leave Zandvoort on Sunday. Despite sending payment to Uralkali, the team is not yet allowed to travel to Monza for next weekend's Italian Grand Prix.

Reports emerged on Friday that Haas owed sponsorship money to Uralkali, the US team's former title sponsor. The Russian company would otherwise seize the Formula 1 team's assets. The team was only allowed to leave the Netherlands when the payment was completed.

On Sunday morning, Haas confirmed to GPblog that the team had sent the payment and that the attachment had, therefore, been completed. This would allow the American racing team to travel to Monza.

Haas still not allowed to leave the Netherlands

However, the soap opera is not over yet. Haas reports, "I’ve been informed our trucks won’t be leaving tonight - we have to await confirmation of receipt of payment tomorrow (the payment having been sent on Friday). Once acknowledged tomorrow - they will immediately be en-route to Italy!"
