At the Dutch Grand Prix, Lando Norris managed to beat Max Verstappen by a gap of a whopping more than 22 seconds. Helmut Marko and Verstappen already agreed: this is an alarming phase for the team. Now Jos Verstappen is also getting involved in this discussion.

At the beginning of the season, everything still seemed to be going smoothly for the Red Bull Racing team. Max Verstappen won in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The Dutchman then crashed out in Australia, but went on to win several races. Only since a couple of races has it really become clear that there is something fundamentally wrong with the RB20.

With the bizarrely large margin of victory with which Norris took victory at Zandvoort, it seems that part of the Austrian racing stable has had enough. Max Verstappen's father, Jos Verstappen, also spoke rudely about the current state of the team.

Jos Verstappen wants to see action from Red Bull Racing

''They just don't have it right here at the moment. I think they should take a good look in the mirror here,'' Jos told De Telegraaf. Among other things, he was referring to the fact that Red Bull is now going back to parts that stem from previous upgrades.

The father of the three-time world champion said his son knew he would have no chance of victory at Zandvoort and that a second place in qualifying as very exceptional. ''This way, it will be really tough the rest of this year. Max is doing everything he can, but doesn't have the material to finish it,'' the former F1 driver concluded.
