Max Verstappen was already clear about it during the Formula 1 race, but even after the Italian Grand Prix, the Dutchman comes with a clear message for Red Bull Racing: drastic action is needed, otherwise he can forget about his fourth world title.

Max Verstappen fiercely criticises Red Bull after P6 Monza

After the F1 race at Monza, in which Verstappen did not get beyond sixth place and also struggled with technical problems, the triple world champion is crystal clear: there is a lot of work to be done at Red Bull. "Last year we had a great car, which was the most dominant car ever, and we basically turned it into a monster," reads the Dutchman's painful assessment in conversation with GPblog and others.

"I’ve said a lot, yeah. And now it's up to the team to come with a lot of changes with the car. We basically went from a very dominant car to an undriveable car in the space of, what, six to eight months. That is very weird for me. And yeah, we need to really turn the car upside down," he added.

That there are still circuits coming up that should suit Red Bull well - as Monza really should - Verstappen doesn't care much. "Yeah, I mean, it doesn't matter. With how we are at the moment, we are bad everywhere. So we need a lot of changes," he stressed. "At the moment, both championships are not realistic."
