Adrian Newey will join Aston Martin in 2025. The Brit is moving from Red Bull Racing to the British racing team after almost 20 seasons. This means that Lance Stroll will get to drive Formula 1 cars driven by one of the most successful designers in the paddock. The Canadian has since commented on Newey's arrival at Aston Martin.

How did Stroll react to Newey's announcement?

Stroll - who has been racing under the Aston Martin name since 2021 - reacted happily to Newey's arrival. "Yeah, it's a huge day. There's already a lot said, but I think it's really the most exciting day in this team's history. Adrian's won more championships than anyone in the paddock and now he's wearing green," said Stroll.

"So it's an extremely exciting day. 2026 is not far away. A completely new set of regulations, a lot of opportunity, and we're really constructing an incredible team with so many talented people that are already here. Now Adrian's coming on board, so really exciting," Stroll added.

Stroll has reached the podium three times in his F1 career. He finished third in Baku, Italy, and Bahrain. With Newey working with Aston Martin, the prospect of success has increased.
