Horner prepared for busy off period in F1: 'Late nights in Milton Keynes'

Formula 1 has entered another break period. The next race doesn't take place until the 20th October, so teams have nearly a month away from the circuit. Red Bull Racing's boss, Christian Horner, is keen to use the time wisely and expressed how his team can expect some "late nights" at the factory in Milton Keynes.
For the first time since the 2022 Spanish Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing lost the lead at the top of the Constructors' Championship. McLaren leapfrogged them after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, and then extended their lead to 41 points after the race in Singapore.
Horner reported that Red Bull hit a low point at the Italian Grand Prix when Max Verstappen could only manage a P6 finish. But improvements were made in Baku, when Sergio Perez battled for the podium places until his crash with Carlos Sainz. Verstappen was then able to finish second in Singapore.

"I think we've got a vein of development, and I think we've understood some of the issues with the car. I think we're starting to address them. We were better in Baku. We were better here. So yeah, there'll be a lot of late nights in Milton Keynes," Horner said.
After a couple of street circuits, F1 will return on a traditional track in Austin. The only street circuit remaining on the calendar is at Las Vegas. Horner hopes that the gap will be reduced on the traditional tracks. "McLaren is the benchmark car at the moment. We have a bit to catch up, but we've got the people and the capability to do that," Honer added.
