Lando Norris's world title chances have become very slim after the result in Brazil. Despite this disappointment, his McLaren currently lead the constructors' championship. Despite being in first position, the British driver is not counting himself rich just yet as both Ferrari and Red Bull Racing are close behind.

At the start of the seaosn, it was clear that Red Bull had the fastest car. As the season has progressed, McLaren have made improvements and overaken the Austrian team have the fastest car themselves since the Miami Grand Prix. McLaren currently leads the constructors' championship by 36 points on Ferrari. The competition is fierce as Red Bull also remain close in third, only 49 points behind McLaren.

Norris assesses McLaren's chances of winning the constructors' title

The battle for the constructors' title is certainly not over with three races to go. Lando Norris sees the competition getting closer. "It's close," he told GPblog and other media in Las Vegas.

"Ferrari have been strong for a long time. They have two very good drivers. They're a very good team. They've clearly improved their car a good amount and found a better direction to head down. They've become probably with us. Some races a bit better, some races a little bit behind, some races the same as a competitor," Norris said.

But besides Ferrari, McLaren also have another competitor. "Red Bull are close at the same time, so it's more who can just do a better performance on the weekend. We do know that Vegas is probably a track that will suit the ferraris a bit more, it suited them well last year. But Qatar, we know maybe will be more favoured to us again," Norris said.
