The 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the final round of the 2024 Formula 1 season. The race itself is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 8 at 13:00 GMT. It will use the traditional F1 format of three practice sessions, followed by qualifying and the race. There will be no sprint race in Abu Dhabi.
F1 drivers will get one final chance to race in the 2024 F1 cars. Max Verstappen has already won the World Championship, but will be looking to go into the winter break with the momentum. He won last time out in Qatar, and will be wanting to end the season on a high ahead of the crucial 2024 season.
Meanwhile, the Constructors' Championship is up for grabs. McLaren could have secured the constructors' world title at the Qatar Grand Prix, but ultimately failed to do so after Lando Norris was heavily penalised by the FIA stewards. As a result, Ferrari still have a chance to win the world title next weekend in Abu Dhabi.
The gap between the two teams now stands at 21 points. Meanwhile, in the battle for P6, Alpine now lead by 5 points ahead of Haas thanks to another strong result by Pierre Gasly.
