Today marks the start of a new year and a new Formula 1 season, with just 74 days to go until the Australian Grand Prix on 16 March. Teams are already busy and looking forward to the year ahead, as some have already mentioned in their New Year wishes on social media.

F1 teams wish everyone a happy new year.

To celebrate the new year, several F1 teams and drivers have posted New Year messages. Among others, Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing and Ferrari wished everyone a happy new year. McLaren shared a video of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in which the drivers wish everyone a happy 2025.

2025 promises to be an exciting year in the king class of motorsport. The dominance of Verstappen and Red Bull came to an end in 2024, and even though the Dutchman became world champion for the fourth time, he is expected to struggle even harder this year. His team hopes to deliver better performances, with Liam Lawson in the second seat instead of Sergio Perez.

Meanwhile, a lot is changing in the sport. For instance, Lewis Hamilton will make his first meters as a Ferrari driver and teammate of Charles Leclerc, while Carlos Sainz is doing the same at Williams and Esteban Ocon at Haas. Many rookies are also making their debut as full-time F1 drivers: Andrea Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes, Isack Hadjar at Racing Bulls, Oliver Bearman at Haas, Gabriel Bortoleto at Sauber and Jack Doohan at Alpine.
