It is that time of the day again, GPblog's F1 news round up is here, and we bring you the best of the F1 world today.
In a particularly busy day for Red Bull in terms of F1 news, former driver for the Austrian racing stable sees opportunity for Liam Lawson prior to the New Zealander's first outing as Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull. Christian Horner also foresees a fine margins' battle between teams and drivers for the 2025 season's top prizes.
Perez breaks silence, a proud Verstappen and Ricciardo's woes
Sergio Perez has spoken for the first time since being let go by Red Bull at the end of last year. Jos Verstappen shares moments of Max Verstappen's career, one of which does not go down well with Lewis Hamilton or Toto Wolff, whilst at the same time arguing that people don't know the real Verstappen. The four time world champion himself claims to be happy with how he dealt with the hardships of the 2024 season.
Red Bull junior, Arvid Lindblad, has a rocky start to his Formula Regional Oceania Championship amidst high expectations from the Red Bull camp, Daniel Ricciardo's mental woes led to his eventual F1 exit and David Croft, Sky Sports commentator, has once again had a dig at 'bit of a winner' Verstappen.
Ben Sulayem takes dig at British Grand Prix and Russell's not happy with the FIA
FIA President, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, has slammed British media, whilst at the same time taking a swipe at the British Grand Prix. George Russell has once against expressed his displeasure toward the FIA's recent behaviour and Aston Martin hopes they can find their way back to the top in 2025, with Williams Racing duo, Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, pointing out the importance of the upcoming season for the Grove Street based team as they look to make their way back to the front of the F1 grid.
