Enzo Ferrari's son compliments Hamilton: 'No doubts about him!'
As the blockbuster transfer has been completed, Lewis Hamilton will drive for Ferrari from this season onwards. Piero Ferrari, the son of Enzo, is looking forward to seeing the seven-time world champion competing for the Scuderia. When talking about the Briton, Ferrari explained they previously met when Hamilton visited to buy their cars.
Ferrari: 'Hamilton wanted that when he was only a customer'
"There is no doubt about the champion, as a person he has enormous charisma," Ferrari began to Quotidiano Nazionale. "Together with Leclerc, he forms a nice duo. We have known Lewis for a long time. He is one of our customers, he loves Ferraris. We have met in the past when he came by the factory to pick out the details of the cars he was buying," the Italian continued.
"The idea of one day racing with a Ferrari and for Ferrari was something he had back then, when he was just a customer. He was talking to me about it in a polite way. I was not surprised that he came and I was happy with the deal. I hope he can win straightaway, although that will obviously depend on the car we can give him and Charles," Ferrari continued.
On his Instagram, Hamilton also continues to show himself wearing red. As the Briton spends his time snowboarding ahead of the upcoming 24-Grand Prix long season, he was already in a red suit in the mountains.
