The grid couldn't avoid a big incident overnight at the 2025 24h of Daytona. As Louis Deletraz span on track, he collected many cars after a chain reaction. Watch the incident below!

Huge incident in the 24 Hours of Daytona

Fighting for P6 against Tom Blomqvist in the #60 Meyer Shank Acura after a restart, Louis Deletraz had spun heading into Turn 2. The #40 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing car bounced back to the track, it collected first collected Chris Cumming in the #73, causing a bigger chain reaction.

As the incident happened overnight, many others could not avoid the pile up, as Nick Boulle, Sebastien Bourdais and Paul Miller all got caught up as well. Deletraz's #40 couldn't continue after the crash, and had to be towed off track. The team previously led the race, thanks to a great stint by former F1 driver Kamui Kobayashi.

For the #93 Meyer Shank Acura, a podium also seems to be out of the picture. Driven by three-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou, together with Renger van der Zande, Kakunoshin Ohta and Nick Yelloly, the team had suspension issues within hours, after starting from second place on the grid. The contenders therefore only now have a slim chance of a podium finish. The #6 Penske Porsche Motorsport car currently leads, with Matt Campbell, Kevin Estre and Mathieu Jaminet behind the steering wheel.
