Isack Hadjar moves to Italy for Formula 1 adventure with Racing Bulls

Hadjar on F1 adventure ahead: 'I am a beginner'

28 January at 14:00

Isack Hadjar will make his Formula 1 debut come March driving for Racing Bulls, and so the 20-year-old driver from Paris has moved to a place close to the Italian team's factory to make things as easy as possible for himself with a focus on mitigating external factors as much as possible ahead of his first ever Grand Prix start.

"That is why I moved. I wanted to give myself the best possible chance to get there. Before, I had never done that. As a Red Bull driver, I had not left like the old ones to settle in Milton Keynes and I had not moved to Campos (his team last year) for my last year of F2. Now, I took the initiative to move. I do not want to have anything to reproach myself for, and to put all the chances on my side," the motorsport talent began in conversation with France's L'Équipe.

What does Hadjar need prior to March 14?

The March weekend of the 14-16 will see the first Grand Prix of the 2025 Formula 1 season at the Albert Park Circuit, in Melbourne, Australia, where the Frenchman will drive a full Formula One weekend for the first time. He was already allowed to do a few FP1's both with Red Bull and the team he will debut for this year as well, however, the most pressure sensitive sessions will now be added to his schedule with qualifying and Grand Prix racing.

When Hadjar is asked what he needs for the new season, he has to think for a moment. "TComplicated question. On the technical side, I am missing a lot of data. For example, I have never ridden with 110 kg of petrol in the tank. I don’t know what that does... It’s very simple but I need to learn. I need experience. I am a beginner, let’s not forget that and I want to arrive as prepared as possible in Melbourne."
