Cadillac is steadily building the Formula 1 team that has its sights set on being on the F1 grid as of 2026. Graeme Lowdon was previously appointed team boss and this week it was announced that Peter Crolla will become team manager of the US team. Crolla hails from Haas F1, where he worked with someone who at first glance would be an excellent acquisition for Cadillac.

Guenther Steiner was at the helm of Haas F1 at the time and knows better than anyone how to build an F1 team from the ground up. When asked by GPblog whether he has since been approached for some position at Cadillac, the Italian, who also holds an American passport, states: "No, no, no!"

Anyway, the position of team boss - as indicated - has already been filled by Lowdon. "He was there from the beginning. He helped them. And I'm happy with what I'm doing now by the way. I have enough to do, don't worry," Steiner adds.

Steiner's book tour in the US and Germany?

Indeed, besides being an analyst for German TV, among others, Steiner is also busy with his book tour around the UK next season, which by the looks of it is in tip top shape. "It works very well in the UK, and they are surprised how well my tour is doing. It's the biggest tour ever. They are now also looking at doing something in the US," Steiner says.
