Who is driving in the pre-season testing? Driver timings in Bahrain

Kicking off the 2025 Formula 1 season before the Australian Grand Prix is a series of pre-season testing in Bahrain. Over the course of three days spanning from 26-28 February, all 10 teams and their drivers will be hitting the circuit to test out their 2025 cars. 

Happening at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain, the full F1 grid will be present for three days of testing before the official kick-off of the season. The season opener, the Australian Grand Prix, is only 18 days away, and after the conclusion of the pre-season testing, it will only be closer. 

When is the testing taking place?

Pre-season testing is happening on three different days, with two testing sessions a day. Starting at 10 AM (local time) and ending at 7 PM, the drivers are split up throughout the six sessions. The morning session will run until 2 PM, with the afternoon sessions starting at 3PM. Here are the drivers who have been confirmed for the sessions so far. 

Red Bull Racing:

Max Verstappen will be participating in the Wednesday morning session and both Thursday sessions. 

Liam Lawson will be participating in the Wednesday afternoon session and both Friday sessions. 

Mercedes: 

Andrea Kimi Antonelli and George Russell will both be participating all in all three days of testing. 

Antonelli: Wednesday Morning, Thursday Afternoon, Friday Morning

Russell: Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Friday Afternoon 

Haas: 

Haas is running a similar schedule to Mercedes, with both Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon in the car for all three days. 

Bearman: Wednesday Morning, Thursday Afternoon, Friday Morning

Ocon: Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Friday Afternoon  

Alpine:

Similar to Mercedes and Haas, Alpine is running its duo in rotations. 

Doohan: Wednesday Morning, Thursday Afternoon, Friday Morning

Gasly: Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Friday Afternoon  

Williams:

Carlos Sainz will be participating in the Wednesday afternoon session and both Thursday sessions. 

Alexander Albon will be participating in the Wednesday morning session and both Friday sessions. 

Ferrari, McLaren, Racing Bulls, Sauber, and Aston Martin are yet to confirm their testing line-up.
