Kravitz on boos towards Verstappen: 'Max should have done that!'
Ted Kravitz has responded and disagreed with the statements made my Jos Verstappen following the F1 75 livery event at the O2 Arena in London event. Max Verstappen's father stated that his son will not attend any similar events in the UK as a result of the boos that the Dutchman was subject to.
Kravitz believes Max Verstappen is not phased by boos
The livery event that kick-started the 2025 Formula 1 season was a well-received idea, with many fans enjoying the evening that saw all ten teams announce their challengers for the upcoming season. However, there were some boos directed towards Max Verstappen when he appeared on stage with his brand-new RB21.
Jos Verstappen stated that his son has no desire to be booed by 25,000 people again if a similar event takes place in the British captain again. However, Kravitz disagrees with the former F1 driver, saying "I think he does," when going through what the 52-year-old said.
Kravitz, speaking on the Sky Sports F1 Show continued by saying: "There are a couple of things. Yes, Max tells it exactly how it is, because that's what we know about Max. Yes, it was pantomime, but we would have loved to hear what he thought about it."
What Verstappen should have done, according to Kravitz
The journalist continued, explaining what he thinks Verstappen should have said on stage: "What a missed opportunity to come out and say, 'Booing? You're not going to be booing. You lot, you're English. You've got Lando. Piastri, going to be taking points off each other. Charles Leclerc taking points off Lewis Hamilton. Antonelli's going to be good, taking points off George Russell. There's going to be me, Max Verstappen, coming right down the middle. Liam's not going to take any points. It's all about me. I'm going to win another championship. Let's see how you boo on the other side of your face next time, English lads.' How great would that have been?"
Verstappen cynically said several months before the event that he would be ill on the day of F1 75. However, eventually, he did attend the event, but without getting to speak, with Kravitz confused as to why he had to attend, but then only to have him not speak during the event.
