Verstappen shares clear advice for FIA President Ben Sulayem
In an earlier interview with the press, defending world champion explained how he would combat the new penalty system for swearing in place for the 2025 season. The Red Bull driver could just choose and swear in Limburgish, therefore, the stewards wouldn't be able to understand him. At a virtual press conference in Zandvoort, Verstappen followed up on such 'plan', and also gave adviced Mohammed Ben Sulayem on how he talks to the public.
Verstappen admitted that in his youth, there was regular swearing in the Limburg dialect. "I used to do that often enough in karting, of course," said Verstappen, who has to watch out in Formula 1 these days.
As president of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem has pushed through that there are heavy penalties for swearing. Verstappen thinks his part in that. "In the end, these are all very silly things you don't want to be involved in at all," the Dutchman told GPblog among others.

The FIA president is a bigger supporter of getting rid of swearing completely from motorsport, but on the other hand, he also had some ideas that would be well-liked by the drivers. One of the would be the reintroduction of the V10 engines. "Of course I think it's a very nice idea," Verstappen react.
"Only whether it is possible is of course a completely different story. So I always think it's better to just not shout out so many things (to the public). It's better to try to solve things behind the scenes. That's for better for everyone," the four-time world champion concluded.
