Verstappen on life as soon to be father with Kelly Piquet in Monaco
Another major event will take place for Max Verstappen this season. Not only on track he needs to defend his world title, but off the track, he will become a father. At a Viaplay press event, the Dutchman was asked how things are going at home.
Kelly Piquet is already mother to Penelope, but for Verstappen it will be the first time he will become a father, although the Red Bull Racing driver has previously recognised his role in Penelope's life as "a bonus dad". Piquet's daughter also frequently appears during Verstappen's sim racing streams.

The reigning Red Bull Racing world champion was asked if how things are at home. "It's all going very relaxed actually at the moment, everything is under control. Yes, at home here everything is also good. [A] nice playtime," Verstappen explained while talking to GPblog among others after joining from Monza.
The gender of Piquet and Verstappen's upcoming child has not yet been revealed, but the mother has already given several hints on her Instagram page. For instance, she revealed on social media that she was shopping for clothes in the girls' department. When Piquet is due is not officially known, but from previous hints it seems like baby Verstappen-Piquet Jr. will be born in a few months time.
