Hadjar regretful and ashamed after horrible Grand Prix

- Savannah Lenz
Isack Hadjar made his official debut in Formula 1 this weekend at the Australian Grand Prix. While the race should have been a joyous occasion, it was unfortunate for the French-Algerian. The young driver crashed during the formation lap, after which his first race was over before he had even started.
He said to the media, including GPBlog, "I'm just embarrassed; I feel sorry for the team,". The Racing Bulls driver dejectedly regrets how his Sunday went, but promises to learn from it. "These mistakes they can happen, it's just, breaking the carousel in the season really breaks my heart, really sorry for the team." He then acknowledges the circumstances, "I'm missing out on more experience. My first Grand Prix, missing out on a wet track. I wish I could be driving right now".
Luckily, Hadjar will not have to wait long as the next race is just a week away. When asked if this helps, he said, "Of course it does. I'm really looking forward to being in Shanghai. I think the speed is here, so I just can't wait to hit the track next week."
Racing Bulls backs Hadjar
Team principal Laurent Mekies offered the rookie words of support. "He will learn from this and turn his frustration into good energy for the next race. We will be here to support him over the next few days before Shanghai and not let this cloud all the positives we can take from this weekend.”
