Ralf Schumacher on Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing

Ralf Schumacher finds it odd to see such a level of chaos at Red Bull Racing. After Liam Lawson's disappointing start to the campaign and the first rumours about a change that might happen, the German has heavy criticism for the team.

Talking to Sky Sports Germany, the former Formula 1 driver wouldn't understand a swap: "Incredibly bad from a management point of view. They destabilise the well-performing Racing Bulls team, which is finally coming on strong with both drivers, and they burn Tsunoda, who, while better, also has no chance against Max. Lawson goes back to the Racing Bulls to rebuild there."

"This is pure chaos at Red Bull. Not only is the main team too slow, but now they are swapping drivers. This display I find really unbelievable."

Should Tsunoda want a switch to Red Bull Racing?

Schumacher believes Lawson "would be the next driver to add Verstappen to his list." At this point, he would join Pierre Gasly, Alexander Albon and Sergio Perez. Therefore, he questions whether Tsunoda would risk joining that list as well. "Getting in the car next to Verstappen? I would think twice about that," he explained.

So far, Tsunoda has managed to qualify for every Q3 or SQ3 session and scored points in the Sprint in China. Meanwhile, Lawson is yet to make it through to the second session at all and is also yet score a single point this season.
