Lawson's sister and girlfriend on his demotion: "So much I have to say..."

Liam Lawson's girlfriend and sister have both taken to social media to react to the New Zealander's demotion from Red Bull Racing to Racing Bulls, with the latter angry at the treatment of her brother, saying "[there is] so much I have to say...."
After battling it out with Yuki Tsunoda for the final six Grands Prix of the year, Red Bull decided to go with Lawson to replace the outgoing Sergio Perez for the 2025 season, a move that had some question marks ater Tsunoda's impressive season at Racing Bulls in 2024, along with Lawson only competing in 11 Grands Prix in his Formula 1 career.
However, the potential for the 23-year-old was something that team principal Christian Horner and advisor Helmut Marko picked, and he was paired up with Max Verstappen for the 2025 season. That partnership has lasted just two races, as after two challenging Grand Prix weekends, Lawson has been replaced at the Austrian team by Tsunda, who will now take over from the Japanese Grand Prix onwards.

With Lawson crashing out of the Australian Grand Prix and then qualifying in P20 and finishing P19 at the Chinese Grand Prix, a decision was made to demote him from Red Bull back one to Racing Bulls, where he finished the 2024 season, a move that has been criticised by many.
One person in the Lawson family who has spoken out on the move made by the Austrian team is the New Zealander's sister, Leah Lawson, with an angry sentence directed towards Red Bull and the people making the decision on her Instagram story, saying: "So much I have to say...."
Another person to publicly support Lawson on social media is his girlfriend, Hannah St. John, also using her Instagram story. Instead of saying or posting anything towards anybody, she just posted a love heart in front of a black-and-white image of herself and Lawson together.
