Lawson responds to Red Bull demotion: 'My dream since I was a kid'

- Savannah Lenz
While the rumour had been floating around since the Chinese Grand Prix, it was only recently confirmed that Yuki Tsunoda would be replacing Liam Lawson from the Japanese Grand Prix. Now, the New Zealander has reacted to his move back down to Racing Bulls.
Lawson grateful for support amidst 'tough' dream's end
At Lawson's Red Bull Racing debut, in Australia, he failed to see the flag, crashing out due to the tough conditions at the season opener.
At the next race, the Chinese Grand Prix, Lawson qualified P20 for both the sprint and the feature race, from which he could not recover to point scoring positions, rendering his spell at Red Bull Racing fruitless.
From the next Grand Prix, in Japan, the New Zealander will leave Red Bull Racing to make way for Yuki Tsunoda, taking over the Japanese driver's seat at Racing Bulls.
Lawson took to Instagram to respond to his demotion, announced earlier today: "Being a @redbullracing driver has been my dream since I was a kid, it’s what I’ve worked towards my whole life.
"It’s tough, but I'm grateful for everything that’s brought me to this point. To every one of you who’s stood by me, thank you for all the support, it means the world.
"Thank you @visacashapprb for the warm welcome, I’m excited and ready to go to work at one of my favourite places"
