Fernando Alonso hints at his plans for the rest of 2019!
Fernando Alonso has revealed he will race eight more times in 2019 but says Formula 1 is not in his thoughts at the moment. The two-time world champion discussed his future on his Instagram story.
Alonso missed out on the final piece of the Triple Crown jigsaw when he failed to qualify for the Indy500. It's likely he'll drive in the event next year. After Le Mans 2019 though, Alonso has nothing confirmed. On Wednesday, he was asked what his plans were after the 24-hour race on Instag4a
He replied: "A lot of physical preparation for the next season, and another 8 races this year."
During the string of Q+A messages, he was also asked if he could return to F1 just to make the Spanish fans happy. He replied: "Man, that would not be a possible return. It is not in my head at this time."
Alonso didn't announce what those eight races were.
