Norris: "Gusty wind" made it difficult
Lando Norris claimed a solid P8 in qualifying for Sunday's British Grand Prix, but he said that crosswinds made driving difficult as he missed out on being 'best of the rest' by just four hundredths of a second.
He will start alongside Daniel Ricciardo for tomorrow's race and came so close to beating the Renault driver. Despite missing out, he outqualified his teammate Carlos Sainz yet again to continue his excellent debut season.
Norris told Sky Sports: "(Qualifying) was good. Could have been better - it was only four hundredths difference. The wind was gusty and not so easy.
"Big improvements we've got to make - but the car's nice to drive and we have confidence in the high speed [corners]. But feeling nice and comfortable is not always the quickest way of driving."
