Toto Wolff "knew it would be difficult" as Mercedes only manage third and fourth!
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says that he knew qualifying would be tough for Mercedes, but still says that anything can happen in Sunday's race.
Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas will line up third and fourth on the grid, behind the Ferrari front row lockout of Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, and Wolff says that Mercedes will do everything they can to be quick enough for a win at Spa.
Wolff told Sky Sports: "It's not seven tenths it's 1.3 seconds to Leclerc. We knew it would be difficult - third and fourth was what we expected but the power is ridiculous on the Ferrari on these kind of tracks.
"Today we tripped over our own feet, you want to do it extra perfect and the you look like an idiot and this happened twice today. There is everything to play tomorrow we have a strong race car, we know they (Ferrari) have suffered in the races, and they have the temperature advantage as it's going to be colder tomorrow. I'm still upset about today."
