Lewis Hamilton "really happy" for Charles Leclerc after the Belgian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton performed well at the Belgian Grand Prix but was unable to beat Charles Leclerc who won the race. It looked like the Mercedes driver would catch the Ferrari but in the end, it was too much for Hamilton.
"I gave it absolutely everything that I had. We had a great crowd today. More people than I think we've ever had here," Hamilton told Sky Sports.
"It was a really difficult race today. The Ferrari's were just too fast on the straights but I got as close as I could, maybe if I had a few more laps. 44 is actually my lucky number but I needed a few more laps today.
"Congratulations to Charles on his win. He's had it coming all year so I'm really happy for him."
