Belgian Grand Prix - Charles Leclerc wins his first race in Formula 1
Charles Leclerc has won his first Formula 1 race after an impressive display at the Belgian Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver managed to keep Lewis Hamilton behind him and managed his race to perfection from start to finish.
Leclerc started the race from pole and did well to keep his teammate, Sebastian Vettel, and the two Mercedes behind him.
A crash at the first corner saw Max Verstappen retire after Kimi Raikkonen hit him. This caused a safety car and the grid bunched up again. During this time Carlos Sainz had a engine issue which also saw him retire keeping the safety car out for another few laps.
Leclerc managed the restart well but it was Vettel who was favored by the team for the first pit stop. The other top drivers stayed out and ended up overtaking Vettel with around 15 laps to go.
Hamilton looked fast and it seemed that he would catch Leclerc but in the end, the youngster did enough to keep the Mercedes behind him.
