It's not been a bed of roses for Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari. Now a former Red Bull driver has agreed with Ralf Schumacher's assessment and has predicted the Briton quitting F1 altogether after the 2025 season. Lewis Hamilton has been dejected in his recent reactions in the media to his outings for Ferrari, mentioning he needed 'a brain transplant', to come to grips with the SF-25. Former F1 driver, Ralf Schumacher,
linked the Briton's struggles at Ferrari to his own in the late part of his career, which made him quite F1 altogether.Alguersuari believes Hamilton will quit
In The After Lap podcast, former Toro Rosso driver, Jaime Alguersuari, agrees with Schumacher's assessment. "I have the feeling that Hamilton, he’s going to leave," said the Spaniard in The After Lap Podcast.
"I don’t know why I’m taking a risk by saying this. But I have the feeling that his time has passed, that he’s already won a lot, that he’s already won everything and that he’s saying: ‘OK, I’ve gone to Ferrari to try and see what happens in 2026."
'Hamilton Doesn't Believe in Ferrari'
And indeed, it is not currently 2026. But the Spaniard thinks Hamilton feels that it won't get better next year. "Ferrari is not a winning team. It's a team that wins races, but it is not a winning team."
"They have not won since 2008. So they may have a competitive car, they may have a competitive team, but they don’t have a winning team. There is a difference," Alguersuari said.
