Williams "in no rush" to choose between Kubica and Latifi for 2020!
Williams boss Claire Williams says that the team are not in a hurry to secure their driver line up for next season, with the British team set to choose between current driver Robert Kubica and development driver and F2 frontrunner Nicholas Latifi.
Kubica has scored one point on a difficult return to Formula 1 with the sport's backmarkers, as the team have struggled to ever compete with another team this season.
Latifi has had a more successful year, taking three wins in F1's feeder series, sitting second in the championship behind Nyck de Vries and has appeared three times for Williams in Friday practice sessions.
Williams told Motorsport.com: “We are looking at the 2020 seat and there is a handful of candidates.
“Robert has done a good job as well this year, it hasn’t been easy for him. The car isn’t what he would like it to be or what anyone would like it to be so it hasn’t been a good platform for him to indicate how strong he can be.
“It’s something that’s under consideration at the moment but I’m in no rush to make any decision.
“We’ve got to make the right decision going into next year.”
