Michael Masi set to meet with F1 teams ahead of Singapore Grand Prix
- Tom Mason
FIA race director Michael Masi has already admitted that he will meet with the teams ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix to avoid the 'farce' Q3 of the Italian GP in future races. At Monza, only two drivers were ready to complete a second time in the session.
"It's something we discussed after Spa and I think everyone in the room, both sports directors and drivers, acknowledged that there is no simple solution in the regulation for this," said FIA race director to Motorsport.com.
" We will have a deeper discussion in Singapore.
"Some of the teams have already presented simulations and ideas on how it could be rectified because it is best for everyone.
He will hope to be able to avoid such problems which occurred last weekend at Monza in the future.
"At the end of the day, they are all elite athletes who try to make the most of it. We can talk about the gentlemen's pacts, but we must all recognize that once the visor is lowered, everyone is there to give the maximum".
