Robert Kubica to test DTM with BMW!
Robert Kubica will test for BMW Motorsport in a DTM car in Jerez next week as he looks for his future outside of F1. Kubica made his fairytale return to F1 in 2019 with Williams, but it didn't go exactly to plan, with the Pole way off the pace of teammate George Russell, despite scoring the team's only point of the season.
At 34-years old, Kubica's career in F1 seems to be at a dead end and he has been looking around for a drive next season after announcing he would leave the F1 backmarkers at the end of the season.
And now it seems DTM could be the future for the Pole, as he is set to test with BMW.
Kubica said: "I would like to thank BMW Motorsport for the opportunity to test at Jerez with the BMW M4 DTM.
"I am already very much looking forward to the test and to getting to know the DTM race car with its turbo engine. I can well imagine a future in the DTM.
"I am looking for a new challenge, and the DTM is certainly just that.
"The series has a top-class field and the standard of driving is extremely high. However, we must first wait and see how I get on at the test."
