Verstappen: "I want to win with Red Bull"
Max Verstappen's Aston Martin Red Bull Racing contract might be up at the end of 2020 but the Dutchman isn't looking beyond next season as he targets a maiden Formula 1 World Championship.
Verstappen finished third in the Drivers' Championship in 2019 winning three races in Austria, Germany and Brazil. Despite Lewis Hamilton being the class of the field, many felt Verstappen was the most impressive driver of the season, as he also claimed his first-ever pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Dutchman's contract at Red Bull is up next year and he'll have plenty of potential suitors given his talent, should he choose to leave. However, the man himself isn't looking beyond next season and he wants to win the World Championship with Red Bull.
Verstappen told Servus TV that he believes he is well placed at Red Bull to achieve this and that everything is looking good for a title charge.
“I am in a positive position," Verstappen said.
"I feel good within the team and everything is going very well and that is the most important thing.
"We all want to win together and I feel relaxed and good within the team. I want to win with Red Bull."
