Grosjean regards Hamilton as one of the top five drivers ever
- Tom Mason
Romain Grosjean has said that he sees Lewis Hamilton as one of the top five drivers to ever be on the grid. This comes after the Brit one yet another world championship in 2019, taking his tally to six, one behind F1 great Michael Schumacher.
"I think Lewis did a great job and so does Mercedes," Grosjean was quoted by GP Today. "You can't become a world champion without a good car.
"It has been a very good combination. It is definitely in my top five in terms of drivers. It is so difficult to compare because there are so many good drivers.
"You have Fangio, Schumacher, Senna, Lewis, Clark ... there are so much and that is the problem. It is very difficult to say who is in the top 5, but he is doing great."
Hamilton is now just seven race victories behind the German, a record which you would expect the 34-year-old to surpass in 2020.
