Max Verstappen's personal sponsor: A Dutch GP is "something we deserve"
Max Verstappen has been supported by many people on his route to the top of Formula 1. His father, Jos Verstappen, played a crucial role throughout his childhood, while Aston Martin Red Bull Racing came onboard have him a platform to work on. In addition to his, Frits van Eerd has been involved for many years and has helped the career of the young Dutchman.
The Netherlands 'deserves' Grand Prix
"Of course we had really hoped for that with Max," he says at RTL GP Magazine. "Our hero has meant so much to motorsport, to have a Grand Prix again in his home country is also something we deserve a little."
Trust in Honda and Red Bull Racing
As a personal sponsor, he is close to the fire, but the question is whether Verstappen also has a good chance of winning the Dutch Grand Prix and the world championship in 2020. A feeling that arose with him during the last few races of 2019.
“I think we should look at what happened in the last race. What for me personally was the confirmation that Honda has built an incredibly good engine, is the moment that Hamilton thought in the last corner to pass the Toro Rosso, but it pulled him out," he added.
He has faith in Honda, so it is up to Red Bull Racing to finish the job. Something that should be fine too. "If a chassis is not adapted to the engine, it will not work either. But when I see how much commitment Red Bull has to have Max become world champion there, that is of course huge."
