"Those die hard simracers are like robots, Leclerc doesn't stand a chance either'

Charles Leclerc made his debut last weekend in the world of sim racing at the virtual Grand Prix organised by Formula 1. An impressive performance, but against the real simracers he doesn't stand a chance either. Atleast, that's what Austrian DTM driver and fanatic simracer Philip Eng thinks.
Leclerc won the event against several F1 drivers, among others, but a separate race was organised for the simracers. There the level was very high again, says Eng to ORF Sport+. "That was again of a level that I have to admit that I really don't have a chance. Not in qualifying and certainly not in a long run."
According to Eng, the experience these drivers have built up in the virtual world is simply too great and combined with a good dose of talent, this makes them impressively fast and constant. "They just don't make mistakes. They are so intensively involved in sim racing that they have developed their driving to perfection. It's like they're driving like robots."
According to Eng, Charles Leclerc wouldn't stand a chance against the very best simracers either. "His talent is undisputed, of course, but I don't think any of us have a chance against the diehard sim racer."
