Norris removed F1 2019 after consultation with Verstappen: 'Totally unrealistic'.
- GPblog.com
Several F1 drivers have been busy sim racing in recent weeks. Lando Norris is one of the few who participate in almost everything. Max Verstappen, on the other hand, selects his events more carefully and therefore does not participate in races with the official F1 game of Codemasters. Norris understands this and explains why in a recent stream.
"iRacing is more like a simulation program, giving you better feedback in the wheel, it simply feels more realistic. It's also more like a simulator when it comes to tuning".
"While F1 [F1 2019] and Gran Turismo - especially Grand Turismo, that's terrible, it doesn't feel like a car at all, you slide everywhere. Therefore, it is rubbish and that's why no one does it".
Norris removes game after consulting with Verstappen
Norris's dissatisfaction with the official F1 game became clear when he encountered technical problems at the second Virtual Grand Prix and completely removed the game from his computer. He did this according to RaceFans.net after consultation with Max Verstappen.
"It doesn't drive like a real car at all and that's why Max doesn't play it. Would I recommend the F1 games to serious racers? No, iRacing or rFactor." These are bold statements from Norris, who will have to reinstall F1 2019 this weekend, as he is competing in the Race for the World Championship. This competition is partly set up by him to raise money for the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus.
