Coulthard about bonding with Raikkonen: ''When you're older you don't notice''

David Coulthard had several teammates in Formula 1 and drove alongside big names like Damon Hill, Mika Hakkinen and Kimi Raikkonen. The latter praised the Scotsman in the podcast of Beyond the Grid.
The connection with Kimi
In the broadcast of Beyond the Grid Raikkonen said that Sebastian Vettel and Coulthard were the best for him to work with. Coulthard agrees, although he cannot say that they have become friends. However, both did their work and that is exactly the way the Finn likes it.
''Of course, there was an age difference between us, but when you're older it doesn't make much difference. Kimi was very quiet of course, but clearly very fast. I didn't necessarily want to become friends, but I was mainly trying to get myself and as a team on the track as quickly as possible'', Coulthard talks to RTE.
No friends
Kimi is currently still active in Formula 1 at Alfa Romeo, where Coulthard can often be found on the paddock as a reporter. ''Sometimes I still talk to Kimi and that's fine, but that's all it is. We are completely different people with very different interests''.
Raikkonen will be 41 years old in 2020, but according to Coulthard he can still go on for a while. ''Of course he is over his peak, but he is one of the fastest drivers in Formula 1 and could take that momentum with Alfa Romeo for a few more years', concludes the Scotsman.
