Statements of support for Zanardi: "Forza Alex!"
- GPblog.com
Former Formula 1 racing driver Alex Zanardi, who was mainly a furore in the United States and became multiple paralympic champion after a major accident, crashed heavily today during a training session in Tuscany. The world of motorsport is now praying for the smiling Italian to recover
Zanardi lost control of his bike in a descent on Friday, after which he knocked over twice and ended up on the other side of the road. There he came into contact with a truck. Although Zanardi was approachable immediately after the accident, he was taken in serious condition to the hospital where he is currently undergoing surgery. That is why the whole motorsport world is with him.

As said, Zanardi is not only known in the European racing world, but also by the American public. Between 1996 and 1998 he was the absolute fastest man in the CART championship. He became twice champion with the Chip Ganassi team and did so in a style that many people remember.
Please pray for my friend @lxznr Alex Zanardi.
