Brawn disagrees with Ecclestone: "Quitting the shoe wouldn't have been smart"

The corona crisis has left its mark on Formula 1. This year will be an improvised season because of the pandemic. Sports director of Formula 1 Ross Brawn is happy that there will be a season, because one year no races would have been bad for the sport.
At the moment there are eight races for sure and about ten races there are a lot of rumors. That we are going to race in ten days Brawn is happy despite the fact that it will be a very different year than planned.
"We can fill in the championship in different ways", which the director is referring to getting a world champion this year. That will be different than normal. A shorter championship and different circuits. Because of this choice a part of the economy will be revolving around Formula 1 again.
"I think we can partly restore the economy, which is crucial for the teams. With no championship at all the money tap for all the teams will be completely closed". So Brawn disagrees with Bernie Ecclestone, who was an advocate for no sie kiss at all.
Development in Formula 1
In addition to a special calendar, the pandemic also led to the temporary suspension of several new regulations. The introduction of the new cars is now planned for 2022, together with a number of other regulations. Due to the crisis, the budget cap has dropped further ahead of schedule.
Brawn continues to Racefans.net: "Formula 1 was a great place. There would be new regulations, the costs were reduced. Many positive changes were in the pipeline. Because of the crisis we had to press the pause button or maybe we'll take a step back ourselves, but soon we'll go full throttle again", he praises the upcoming developments in the Formula 1.
