Binotto can still stay at Ferrari: ''Misfortune doesn't change the plans''

The Austrian Grand Prix is one for Ferrari to quickly forget. Yes, Charles Leclerc came second in the end, but that was a much better result than the car was actually worth. The CEO is therefore not satisfied with the team.
"Charles made a show of it during the race in Austria. He made ultimate use of the possibilities in the race and also defended himself extremely well against faster cars. He has proven once again that he has the talent and determination to succeed at Ferrari," said Louis Camilleri to Italian motorsport.it.
Binotto can stay
The CEO was much less enthusiastic about Sebastian Vettel. ''It's a pity that Sebastian spoke so much about the car. We now have to make sure that we analyse the data and get better. We know that there is a lot to improve and this is certainly not the place where a team like Ferrari belongs''.
Where some will already call for the resignation of Mattia Binotto, Camilleri doesn't want to turn things around yet. "As one, we must now roll up our sleeves and meet the challenges. We're at the beginning of a new journey and that's one for the long term. These setbacks don't change the course that Mattia and I have set'', the Ferrari top man concludes.
