Bottas reacts after a puncture: "Most unfavourable spot on the track!"
Valtteri Bottas seemed to be heading for a second-place at the British Grand Prix. With two laps to go, the Finn suffered a flat tyre and saw the points disappear like sun melting snow.
Speaking to Ziggo Sport's camera, Valtteri Bottas was asked if he wanted to use a four-letter word to express his frustration.
"In Finnish, it's five letters. It's unbelievable. Two laps to go and the flat tyre came in the most unfavourable place on the circuit. I had to drive a complete lap with a flat tyre. Lewis was lucky again, but what can I do about it," the Mercedes driver said hopelessly.
DAS system the cause?
The cause of the flat tyre in both cars is also an important issue. Could it be due to the DAS system?
"We only used the system during Safety Cars, to keep the temperature in the tyres. But not during normal racing. I don't know if it was because of that. Maybe our car is too fast," jokes the Finn.
