Villeneuve gets out to Mercedes: ''With that car you've really ruined it''

Max Verstappen may have won the second Grand Prix at Silverstone, but according to Jacques Villeneuve, Mercedes mainly failed. In addition, the Canadian is also unhappy with Sebastian Vettel.
''I did see a nice race, in which it became clear that your Mercedes will be in doubt soon. If you have the right strategy and the driver to execute it, then Mercedes is in trouble. If you finish ten seconds behind the leader with that car, you've ruined it as a team'', Villeneuve is hard on Mercedes.
Vettel attacked by Villeneuve
Villeneuve also told Sky Sports Italia that the Valtteri Bottas team had ruined his race. ''They ruined Bottas' race, while he was much faster than Lewis'', says the 1997 world champion. He doesn't have a good word to say about Vettel, the world champion from 2010 to 2013.
''He always does this when he gets into trouble. Even when he's fighting for the World Championship. If he doesn't feel confident, he's going to make mistakes. He knows the result is his fault. If you're going round and round in the back, it's not the strategy. It's incomprehensible that a champion makes such mistakes'', the Canadian concludes.
