Perez doesn't care about Vettel: "I don't jump to any conclusions"

Rumours have been flying around since the announced departure of Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari and do not seem to have stopped after the first six races in the 2020 Championship. The German has been associated with Racing Point for months. The four-time world champion could take over the seat from Sergio Perez, but the Mexican isn't aware of this happening.
The Mexican himself has been in the team for a long time. Even after the contact between Vettel and Otmar Szafnauer, Perez doesn't worry. "He is a proud owner of a Ferrari and you don't have to take anything out of it. Everyone is free to do what they want, especially outside of racing. That elbow of Vettel with Lawrence? I don't have much to say about it, I don't draw any conclusions from that," Perez tells Formula1.com.
Penalty is tough for the team
In Silverstone, Racing Point received a penalty of fifteen points and a fine of 400,000 euros for violating the sporting regulations. Perez himself was in quarantine because of his positive test but hopes that the team can bounce back quickly. "I knew about the penalty we had received and I hope we can recover it on the track as soon as possible.
"It was certainly difficult for the team because they had a lot of work to do on the car. I think that there has been a loss of confidence in a way with everything that has happened now. It certainly hurts, because they have delivered a great car. If you look at last year, where there was still a lot of uncertainty about the car and which direction we would go. It was a huge change we went through, but in the end, it worked very well", concludes Perez.
