Own responsibility at Verstappen: ''Considering how quickly you get infected''

Lewis Hamilton is already on his way to the seventh world title. The Briton already has a wide margin in the championship on Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing does not seem to be able to close that gap to Mercedes very easily. Yet Helmut Marko still has hope for the world title.
The luck of Hamilton
37 points is the gap between Verstappen and Hamilton, but the gap in the races is particularly large. Verstappen already managed to finish on the podium five times and even win once, but Hamilton has four victories in return. On Saturday and Sunday Mercedes is still a lot better than Red Bull.
''Verstappen isn't that far behind, because without the DNF in Austria it would have looked completely different'', says Marko to Motorsport.com. ''Hamilton gave it all on a flat tyre in Silverstone and drove over a piece of carbon in Barcelona. With another driver that tyre in the air blows up the whole engine, but not with him. Mercedes is performing at a very high level, but there must be an end to Hamilton's luck,'' says the Austrian.
Verstappen must be mindfull for corona
The championship has also become a tombola because of the coronavirus. Sergio Perez was told that you can just miss a few races of the championship. If this is the case with Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton, it has a lot of impact on the title fight. Despite that, Marko is not on top of the Dutchman.
''If Verstappen catches the virus, the chances of a title are gone. As a result, Max has to live a kind of monastic existence and that is not easy. We therefore appeal to his own responsibility. Several people around him have already become infected with the virus, so he has seen how easy it is to get infected'', concludes Red Bull's top man.
