A fierce battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton for the world title was predicted prior to the season. For the time being, the fight in 2020 is fairly one-sided, but Christian Horner doesn't want to give up that fight altogether.

"Of course we're still looking at the standings," says Horner to Sky Sports Italia. "We're not halfway through the championship yet and of course at the moment we're an outsider in this fight, but we still have a chance and we'll try to give it everything until the end."

2020 an unpredictable year

Verstappen and Red Bull Racing will have to hope for problems at Mercedes. They couldn't beat Lewis Hamilton at sheer speed and needed Pirelli tyres falling apart to win the second race at Silverstone.

Horner doesn't rule out the possibility of more situations like this. He just needs to make sure he stays close to Mercedes. "We're all living in a crazy year, so anything can still happen."
